Lorie Lathrop – Laguna

YTT Tribal Secretary / Treasurer

Lorie Lathrop-Laguna serves on the yak titʸu titʸu yak tiłhini (ytt) Northern Chumash Tribal Council Board, Tribal Language Committee and as a Native American Cultural Consultant / Monitor for the ytt Tribe. Native to San Luis Obispo, she’s a member of the yak titʸu titʸu yak tiłhini Northern Chumash Tribe of San Luis Obispo County and Region.

Lorie has two grown children, and is a proud grandmother of three, granddaughter Hayden, Riley and grandson Hunter.

She works for Diablo Canyon Power Plant as a temporary addition for PGE refueling outages.  She also worked as an Registered Dental Assistant in Orthodontics, until she was blessed with opportunity to join ytt Tribal Cultural Team.  She holds this duty very dear to her heart and is very honored to Protect and Preserve yak titʸu titʸu yak tiłhini Culture and most of all to protect and be a voice for ytt ancestors.

Lorie has great interest in Archives, History and Genealogy, and loves learning about our cultural arts, including basket weaving, story telling, song and dance.
